Where is the encuentro happening and how can I get there?
Workshops and milongas will all be at Unity in Angel, North London, just a short tube ride from the Eurostar terminal and Kings Cross St Pancras station. For information on where to stay, please refer to the ACCOMMODATION page where a few options are listed. Needless to say, you will need to check availability.
When and how much are the workshops and milongas?
The workshops are Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 2pm, and milongas from 3pm to 1.30am. The prices are on the workshops and milonga pass pages.
When should I book my workshops?
To ensure everyone has a pleasant experience during the encuentro, workshops have limited availability: places will be allocated on first come, first served basis. To avoid disappointment we recommend you book as early as possible. When a workshop is full, well… it’s full! On the day, we will let you know if there is any space left for the different workshops.
To book, visit the Workshop or Milonga pages. To add a workshop to your Cart, simply click on the link next to the session, and book either as a leader, a follower or as a couple. To add more workshops, go back to the BOOK page and add another workshop to your cart. Please note that workshops or passes are strictly non-refundable.
How can I pay?
Paypal payments, online credit/debit card payments via Paypal are available. If you have a UK bank account, you can also pay by direct bank transfer. We are sorry we cannot accept cheques or international transfers (due to the complexity and high bank charges associated). Please note that if you choose to pay by bank transfer, your booking will be validated and your space reserved only upon reception of payment.
Will there be food or drinks I can buy at the Che?
There will be a bar available all throughout the milongas at the encuentro, however there will be no food; but the hall is just second away from a multitude of cafes, restaurants and shops, so you will not go hungry or thirsty very long. You will find in front of the venue, a post office with a cash dispenser (ATM) if you need cash.
I would like to come by taxi to the main venue, is it possible?
You can use apps like Kapten or Uber, or hail a black cab in the streets (for security, please only use booked minicabs).
New Unity
If you arrive with a taxi ask the driver to drop you next to the Shell petrol station on Upper street in Angel. With the petrol station to your left, walk for about 30 seconds before you will see the arch ‘Unity’ where all the activities of the Che are happening.
I would like to buy shoes or tango clothes. Is it possible?
Yes. We will have shops selling both tango shoes and tango clothes for ladies and gentlemen.
