Sunday 03/05 with the 2022 vice champion Victoria + QUANTUM TANGO Live Music

We are so honoured to welcome, this spring, the maestra and Worldwide Vice Champion VICTORIA OLIVELLA (Buenos Aires), who will be teaching at Los Angelitos an exclusive class, and celebrate at her Welcome Milonga with the Live Music of QUANTUM TANGO.

Victoria’s technique and elegance is such that when she visited London last time, dancers were waiting their turn to ask for her advice. You will find her teaching impressively warm and useful, giving tips that she developed in her dancing along the years.  Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from the best tango has to offer!

Victoria will teach with Bruno Fabulous Volcadas: learn the tricks and technique from a vice champion to make your Volcadas to die for – well not that far but almost ;-).

The beginner / improver lesson will be on the theme of the back Ocho. Your milonga Los Angelitos will follow, for all to enjoy, with Live music and a TDJ. What a feast!

Programme

  • 2PM Beginners class (Level 1, 1 hour): TANGO: BACK OCHO. You will discover this iconic step, a beautiful movement in which the follower is turning and walking backwards. For further classes check our Beginners page for our beginner curriculum & offers.
  • 2PM Improvers class (Level 2, 1 hour): BACK OCHO VARIATIONS. Add some fun variations to make it even more exciting!
  • 3PM Masterclass with Victoria Olivella & Bruno (Level 3 & 4, 1.5 hour): FABULOUS VOLCADAS & OFF AXIS for both roles. Discover how to reinvent your Volcadas and defy gravity! Plus varying the energy, adornos, and play with it as a leader. Fun fun fun!
  • 4.30PM MILONGA Los Angelitos, in our beautiful hall. LIVE MUSIC + guest TDJ TBA. Nibbles available; you can BYOB or cakes if you want to share (or not) :-).

Sub-Champion of Mundial de Tango Pista Championship 2022
Sub-Champion in Vals Category and 3rd place in Milonga in Metropolitan Tango Championship of Buenos Aires 2022.Victoria Olivella has been raised in arts since she was a child, nurturing and developing in different areas such as dancing and visual arts.
She has organized milongas in Buenos Aires and has travelled all around the World teaching and sharing Argentine Tango’s culture.
She has participated in Amazing festivals and encuentros like Tango Salón Extremo, CITA (Congreso Internacional de Tango Argentino), Istanbul Festivalito, Zurich Tango Expierence festival, Dream Tango Festival Italia, Lisbon Tango Festival, Encuentro Patagonico de Tango Argentino, among others.

ABOUT QUANTUM TANGO

QUANTUM TANGO – tango chamber ensemble
More than just a musical group, it is a new tango chamber ensemble that draws inspiration from the Buenos Aires tango tradition to project it towards contemporary sounds, while respecting the genre’s heritage. It is the fusion of two violin worlds, a musical dialogue where academic training merges with arrabal (suburban) tango.
Their repertoire includes traditional tango from artists such as Gardel, Troilo, and D’Arienzo, among others.
